"My favorite is Bocce’s Pepperoni. September 21, 2009 Hi, Let me start out by saying that Buffalo is my home and when I was 11 yrs old ..about 53 years ago, my cousin brought home a pizza (back then it was called a pizza pie) She came in and said that she had a pie downstairs... well I thought it was an apple pie so I ran to get a slice but when I laid my eyes on it I really don’t remember what went through my head, she said go on get a slice and when my mouth tasted that pizza ... when I think about it I can still taste it after all these years. That shop was ran by the Bocce brothers on Clinton & Adams St’s and actually I try to go every time I’m home but I must say it’s still good but nothing beat the pizza pie back in the late 50’s up until I think 2 of the brothers died. The people in the south because I’m in Charlotte, N.C. now think that they know pizza down here ..HAH!! I laugh, the closest one is Doninos Pizza, the rest there’s no word for.
